Villa Orlofsky

Lulled by wine and waltz music, Orlofsky’svguests are permanently inebriated. But no onevcan evade the deeps and shallows of bourgeois existence, however obstinately they disregard the menacing noises from the street: “To be happy, ignore what you can’t do anything about.” Director Paul-Georg Dittrich transforms Orlofsky’s mega-party into an extravagant conglomeration of opera and drama. The famous tunes from Fledermaus are cast in contemporary sound: instruments electronic and traditional mingle and clash.
