The line-up for this jubilee foray into unknown operetta territory is just as exquisite: Franz Welser-Möst directs the Vienna Philharmonic, Christiane Karg, Maximilian Schmitt and Mauro Peter are the singers. They are exploring works beyond the well-known repertoire pieces – a heady mixture of the popular and the unknown.
