Supremely popular, The Blue Danube has figured prominently in film history. With Johann Strauss 2025 Wien, VIENNA SHORTS has organised an international contest for visual interpretations of the waltz that are both original and artistically ambitious. The best entries will be presented at a gala event on May 28, 2025 and shown as a Strauss-Prolog during the Film Festival on Vienna's Rathausplatz in July and August.
