Martina Eisenreich was born in 1981, she studied classical composition, composition for film and television as well as film music and sound design. In 2007, she composed music for a cinema film for the first time (‘Reine Geschmacksache’). Two of her films were nominated for the Academy of Motion Picture's Foreign Film Award and ‘Milan’ made it to the Oscar shortlist. She has a close working relationship with Axel Ranisch. She was the first woman to receive the German Film Music Award for ‘Best Music in Film’ in 2018. After two nominations for the German Television Award 2020, she was the first woman to win the German Academy of Television Award and the Rolf-Hans Müller Award, one of the most highly endowed German awards. Renowned orchestras perform her symphonic works all over the world. Martina Eisenreich works for renowned European theatres and festivals, such as the Nibelungen Festival in Worms and the Schauspielhaus Graz.
