Johannes Hiemetsberger is the founder and artistic director of the Chorus sine nomine and the vocal soloist ensemble Company of Music. With a wide-ranging repertoire from contemporary music to the Renaissance, he regularly performs with both ensembles in renowned venues such as the Vienna Konzerthaus, the Vienna Musikverein, and the Hamburg Elbphilharmonie.
He has collaborated with orchestras such as the Vienna Symphony Orchestra and the Wiener Akademie and has appeared at festivals including the Salzburg Festival, Wien Modern, and the Ravenna Festival.
As a Professor of Conducting at the mdw – University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna, he leads the Anton Bruckner Institute and is a sought-after speaker internationally. From 2008 to 2018, he directed the "Stimmen-Festival-Freistadt," and from 2022 to 2024, he leads the brücken.festival wienerwald.
