The native Linzer Ilia Staple received her vocal training at the university in her hometown under the tutelage of Katerina Beranova.
Since 2018, she has been a member of the ensemble at the Staatstheater am Gärtnerplatz, where she has performed roles such as Queen of the Night ("The Magic Flute"), Gilda ("Rigoletto"), Musetta ("La Bohème"), Gretel ("Hansel and Gretel"), Ida ("The Young Lord"), Adele ("Die Fledermaus"), Olympia ("The Tales of Hoffmann"), and Kunigunde ("Candide").
From 2016 to 2018, Ilia Staple was a member of the Upper Austrian Opera Studio at the Landestheater Linz, where she performed roles such as Despina ("Così fan tutte"), Rosetta (in Erich Zeisl's "Leonce and Lena"), Flaminia ("Il mondo della luna"), and Bellezza ("Il trionfo del tempo e del disinganno").
At the Salzburg State Theatre, she appeared as Franziska Cagliari ("Wiener Blut") and Eliza Doolittle ("My Fair Lady"), and at the Bad Leonfelden Musical Weeks as Christine ("The Phantom of the Opera") and Maria ("West Side Story").
As part of the international Bruckner Festival, the young soprano performed as Blonde ("The Abduction from the Seraglio") and Bubikopf ("The Emperor of Atlantis"). Her repertoire includes roles such as Eurydice ("Orpheus in the Underworld"), Bronislawa ("The Beggar Student"), Christl ("The Bird Seller"), Adele, and Kunigunde.
In the summer of 2021, Ilia Staple made her debut at the Tyrolean Festival in Erl as Woglinde in Richard Wagner's "The Rhinegold".
