Flo Staffelmayr is an author, director and theater teacher. He was born in France and lives in Austria. After studying economics and working as an actor for several years, he has been doing theater for and with young people since 2009 and has already received several awards for it. His plays can be seen: Landestheater Salzburg, Landestheater Vorarlberg, Landestheater Tirol, Westfälisches Landestheater, Next Liberty Graz, Junges Theater Heidelberg, Dschungel Vienna, Theater Phönix Linz, Werftparktheater Kiel, Volkstheater Rostock, Schauspielhaus Vienna and many more. His imaginative, limitless approach and his socio-political demands have made him an integral part of theater for young audiences in German-speaking countries. Since 2020 he has also been working as an author of children's books and is a member of the Advisory Board for Performing Arts at the ministry of art.
In 2020 he received the State Prize for the most beautiful books in Austria for “Lina die Entdeckerin”.
In 2013 and 2017 he received the STELLA Performing Arts Prize for Young Audiences.
In 2012 he won the Ö1 radio play competition Track 5' for “Der China Wägen”
