Elena Gertcheva graduated with honors in piano, chamber music and at the Academy of Music in Sofia and supplemented her training with master classes in conducting. She worked as a successful teacher at the Academy of Music in Plovdiv (BG) and as a pianist and choral conductor. She has also written several music education publications and developed her own teaching system “MusikOptimaLearning”, which she uses in her studio “Musica Orphicus”. She came to Austria in 1992, where she worked until 2005 at the Landestheater NÖ as a solo accompanist, choir director and conductor. conductor.
