
David Kerber has been a permanent ensemble member of the Volksoper Wien since the 22/23 season, where he has performed roles such as Alfredo (La traviata), Dr. Otto Siedler (Im weißen Rössl), Steuermann (Der fliegende Holländer) and Alfred (Die Fledermaus). At the beginning of 2023, he made his debut as Tamino with the Nederlandse Reisopera. He has also made guest appearances at the Staatsoper Stuttgart (Froh - Das Rheingold), Vlaamse Opera Antwerpen, the Tiroler Festspiele Erl and the Tiroler Landestheater. In 2019, he made his debut at the Bregenz Festival (Theater am Kornmarkt) as Triquet (Eugene Onegin). David Kerber pays great attention to baroque music, so in 2021 he was able to record the part of the Evangelist in the St. Matthew Passion with the Academia Jakobus Steiner and the Wilten Boys' Choir on CD - released by hänssler Classic. He is also co-founder of the festival “Alles Lied.” in Breitenwang in Tyrol. David Kerber has also won prizes at numerous competitions and foundations, including the Professor Armin Weltner Foundation Prize from Zurich at La Scala in Milan and several prizes at the International Haydn Singing Competition 2021 in Rohrau, the 36th Concorso Internationale di Canto “Maria Caniglia” in Sulmona and Elina Garanča's Zukunftsstimmen competition.
