Austrian duo Reinhard Rietsch and Markus Wagner, otherwise known as Camo & Krooked, are two of the most successful Austrian musicians of our time and one of Europe’s hottest production outfits. Since 2007, the two DJs have been redefining the boundaries of the drum & bass genre and created a fearsome reputation for their untouchable production skills and unique sound. They have put Austria on the map as one of the top three incubational countries in their genre and their sound has had a phenomenal impact on the direction of drum & bass.
With four albums, over 120 original tracks and numerous remixes, including a whirl of dancefloor anthems, they have achieved impressive success not only in Austria but also internationally. Their albums ‘Zeitgeist’ and ‘Mosaik’ in particular brought fresh impetus to the scene and cemented their reputation as pioneers. Redefining industry standards, programming unique arrangements and creating signature techniques, Camo & Krooked keep impressing peers and press time and again, earning the duo constant nominations and multiple awards. Moreover, Reinhard and Markus throughout the years have refined their performance craft to become one of the most outstanding and in demand live acts in a highly competitive and crowded scene leading to sold out tours across most continents and shows at the most prestigious venues and festivals.
Despite their great success, Camo & Krooked continue to set new standards in electronic music and constantly strive for new creative challenges. Hence, in 2020, the duo teamed up with Christian Kolonovits to take their sound to unchartered heights once more by blending drum & bass with classical music for the acclaimed premiere of Red Bull Symphonic – a successful collaboration that is making its long-awaited return in 2025.
