Anne Buffetrille, born in 1973 in St. Germain-en-Laye (France), studied German studies in Paris.
After her studies, she moved to Germany, where she worked as a costume and stage assistant for various German theaters, including in Münster, Munich, Konstanz, Bochum, and Kiel. She later lived in Paris, where she assisted the fashion stylist Barbara Loison and collaborated with Jean-Paul Gaultier, Sonia Rykiel, Anne Fontaine, and the photographer Jean-Baptiste Mondino.
Since 2002, she has been living in Berlin, working as a set and costume designer for theater, opera, children's theater, and ballet in Germany (including Schauspielhaus Hamburg, Maxim Gorki Theater Berlin, Staatstheater Karlsruhe, Schauspielhaus Hannover, Schauspielhaus Düsseldorf, Theaterhaus Jena), France (including Théâtre de L’Aktéon Paris, Théâtre de la Villette Paris), Austria (including Kleines Theater Salzburg, Theater des Kindes Linz), and Switzerland (including Schauspielhaus Basel, Theaterhaus Gessnerallee Zürich).
Since 2013, she has also been teaching workshops on "Mode et stylisme" at the IMAD art school in Caen.
