Anna Sushon studied piano and musicology at Music Licee in Novosibirsk. 1991 she emigrated to Israel and made her orchestral conducting diploma at Jerusalem Rubin Academy of Music and Dance. During her studies she was active choir conductor and has performed the new pieces of contemporary Israeli composers. 1996 she came to Vienna and has continued her studies at MDW.
Since 1998 Anna Sushon works as freelancer coach, head of studies at the Neue Oper Wien and assistant conductor around Europe. So far she participated in about 150 productions at different opera houses and festivals, such as Vienna State Opera, Theater an der Wien, Wiener Kammeroper, festivals in Bregenz, Carinthia, Retz, Grafenegg and Wiener Festwochen. Her main interest is to perform contemporary music. Since 2020 she holds the position of Senior Artist at Master studies programm Performing Practice in Contemporary Music (PPCM Vokal) at the Music University of Graz (KUG)
