Elissa Huber made her stage debut in the musical genre in 2010 at the Deutsches Theater Munich as Maureen in Rent. Further engagements took her to the Operettenhaus Hamburg as La Rosa (Sister Act), to Theater 11 Zurich as Lisa Wartberg (Ich war noch niemals in New York), and on a European tour as Ludovika and Frau Wolf (Elisabeth).
In 2013, she transitioned to classical soprano repertoire and completed her master’s degree in music, performance, and singing in 2015 under Jane Thorner-Mengedoht at the Zurich University of the Arts. She was subsequently engaged at the opera studio of Milan's Teatro alla Scala, where she made her operatic debut as First Lady in The Magic Flute under the direction of Peter Stein and conducted by Adam Fischer. In 2016, she won 3rd place and a special prize for the best performance of a contemporary composition at the Bundeswettbewerb Gesang (Federal Singing Competition). She then debuted as Agathe in Der Freischütz at the Theater für Niedersachsen.
Until 2019, Huber was a permanent ensemble member at Konzert Theater Bern, where she performed roles such as Donna Anna (Don Giovanni), Fiordiligi (Così fan tutte), and Micaëla (Carmen). She made her Vienna debut as Sylva Varescu (The Csárdás Princess) at the Volksoper. In 2019, she appeared as Lisa (The Land of Smiles) at the Seefestspiele Mörbisch. Additionally, she has performed as Rosalinde (Die Fledermaus) at the Graz Opera, Kate (Kiss Me, Kate) at the Vienna Volksoper, Donna Elvira (Don Giovanni) at the Frankfurt Opera, Emilia Marty (The Makropulos Affair), and the title role in Marc Turnage's opera Anna Nicole at the Hessisches Staatstheater Wiesbaden, as well as Hanna Glawari (The Merry Widow) at the Cologne Opera and Agathe at the Bregenz Festival.
