Jacqueline Kornmüller is a director. She lives in Vienna, where she co-founded the interdisciplinary ensemble wenn es soweit ist with Peter Wolf. At the Kunsthistorisches Museum, she developed the award-winning Ganymed series, which she has also exhibited at international museums (Brussels, Budapest, St. Petersburg). Most recently, she premiered Haruki Murakami's The Strange Library at the Wiener Odeon, and in 2024, she will stage The Notebook by Ágota Kristóf. In her productions, Kornmüller connects different genres, dramatizes her own material, and blends dance, theater, and music in her works. For the Johann Strauss Festival, she is developing the play Blitz und Donner together with author Milena Michiko Flasar and composer Johanna Doderer, which tells the love story between Olga Smirnitzkaya and Johann Strauss. In 2024, she will publish the novella Das Haus verlassen with Galiani Verlag Berlin, illustrated by Kat Menschik.
